It is with great sadness that I share the passing of Ms. Patty Zawisza, our beloved BCBA, colleague, advocate, and dear friend. Ms. Patty was tenderhearted, immensely talented, and our favorite feisty redhead from New York! Countless lives were richer and sweeter for having known her and there will never be another quite like Ms. Patty!

Ms. Patty and her family are being served by Oakey’s and her visitation will be held at Our Lady of Nazareth Catholic Church on Friday, January 2nd at 9:30am in Roanoke. Mass will take place at 10:30am-12:00pm with internment to follow at St. Andrew’s Catholic Cemetery in Salem.

STAFF SPOTLIGHT 💡

Meet Tori, BCBA and Clinical Supervisor at our Salem Clinic!...

Hi, my name is Victoria Cappa. I have been working with ABC's of ABA for about 3 years. I recently became a BCBA in February, 2020, and I am still learning all the responsibilities that come with that but excited for the challenge. What drives me to come to work every day is watching the progress the kiddos make daily; some times the progress is small but other times the progress is huge. I love the feeling of knowing I was apart of these changes and helping the child have a higher quality of life than before. I also enjoy parent training to help families feel more confident in any difficult situation that might arise. When I am not working on treatment plans, looking up research or thinking of new interventions to try; I enjoy playing with my dogs and eating Mexican food.

- 11:30 AM- 12:00 PM Beginner Level Movers: This session will feature 30 minutes of simple, sustained motion dances, follow the leader style.
- 12:15 PM - 12:45 PM Advanced Level Movers: This session will feature simple movements, at a faster pace, follow the leader style.
Both sessions will include high energy, kiddo-favorite songs, along with a short warm up and cool down!
