7th and 8th grade percussion students started the day by playing for the 5th graders from South Salem. Then Mr. Wright, the band director at SHS, came by to spend some time with 6th grade!

Congratulations to our 8 students that made a spot in the 2026 VBODA District VI All-District Band! We’ve set another record for ALMS! Also, Carly and Camden had the top two euphonium scores of the day!

Thanks to the West Salem 5th graders for being such a wonderful audience today!

Our fifth grade cardinals had a great time today watching the Andrew Lewis Band and Choir perform some festive holiday songs! 🎶

They’re starting to think about joining band or choir next year, and this performance was the perfect inspiration. Thanks to the Andrew Lewis musicians for sharing your talent and holiday spirit with us!

Congratulations to our 12 8th graders that are performing with The Pride of Salem! The band performed at VBODA State Marching Assessment today and received a Superior rating from each judge. This feat is known as Straight 1’s and is the highest honor you can get from our state organization!

Thanks to Chris Creswell for spending time with the 8th grade band today! He’s been our marching band music arranger for the past 11 years and it’s been great getting to spend some time together!
