Roderick shared these words…
“I joined Salem University in April 2026 as the Director of Financial Aid, bringing with me a passion for student success, service, and building meaningful relationships. I believe financial aid is about much more than numbers, regulations, and processes it is about people. Every student has a unique story, and my goal is to meet students where they are, listen to their needs, help remove barriers, and make sure they have the support and resources necessary to continue pursuing their educational goals.
I am here at Salem because I believe in the power of education to transform lives. I am committed to creating a Financial Aid experience where students feel heard, valued, respected, and supported. Whether I am working directly with a student, supporting my Financial Aid team, or collaborating with campus stakeholders, I strive to lead with integrity, compassion, accountability, and a spirit of service.
One of the things I value most about Salem University is the opportunity to build relationships across the institution. I believe that student success is a shared responsibility, and strong collaboration among faculty, staff, leadership, and support services is essential to helping our students succeed.
Being named Tiger of the Month is a tremendous honor and a reflection of what I hope to contribute to the Salem community. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve Salem University and look forward to continuing to make a difference one student, one relationship, ONE TIGER AT A TIME.”
