I’ve been reflecting on yesterday’s session, focused on using guiding principles for leadership and preschool classrooms and programs. It started off tentatively, probably because people weren’t sure if they had the energy for 2 1/2 hours of introspection and reflective work. But then we got to these two slides and the energy shifted. I think we all developed an understanding of the rare opportunity we had with 80 or so other committed educators to support each other‘s work. It was a magical morning.

I'm nearly ready for NAEYC in Anaheim! I'll be presenting twice, on Wednesday and Thursday. Here's the Wednesday session; on Thursday I'll facilitate a discussion about building strong teams for planning and reflection. I hope to see some of my many friends and colleagues there!
