Whatever you're facing today, don't forget this: you are not walking through it alone.
Throughout Scripture, Jesus offers words of hope, peace, and encouragement for every season of life. Whether you're carrying a heavy burden, feeling anxious about the future, or simply needing a reminder of God's faithfulness, His promises remain true.
Take a moment today to reflect on these powerful verses:
📖 John 20:29
📖 John 14:6
📖 Luke 12:22
📖 Matthew 11:28-30
📖 Matthew 5:11-12
At Corban, faith isn’t separate from education—it’s the foundation.
Bible classes are part of every student’s experience, integrated into every major, and taught by professors who share a common faith in Christ. From praying before class to mentoring students through life’s challenges, faith shapes both what we learn and how we learn it.
As one of the few Christian universities on the West Coast that requires a profession of faith from students, faculty, and staff, Corban is a community united by a shared commitment to Jesus Christ—and you can feel the difference.

“Once I realized this is where God wants me, then, for the first time in my life, I just didn’t feel the need to move. Corban became my Promised Land. I didn’t know it at the time, but when I came here, I had entered God’s rest.” - Dr. Gary Derickson (Professor Emeritus)
As Dr. Derickson retires after 35 years at Corban, we celebrate a legacy marked by faithfulness, excellence, and deep love for students.

"Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends." John 15:13
Today we honor and remember all who gave their lives in sacrificial service to our country. As we gather with family and friends, may we pause with gratitude for those who gave everything to protect the freedoms we enjoy.
We asked some of our Corban alumni where they are now, and we’re so excited to introduce you to Bridgett!
Bridgett graduated in 2025 with degrees in Forensic Psychology and Criminal Justice, and today she is making a meaningful impact through her work with - Her passion for serving and advocating for others has turned into a career where she gets to make a difference every single day.
We love seeing our alumni use the gifts God gave them along with their education to impact their communities long after graduation.
We asked our upperclassmen what they’ll miss most after graduation. Short answer is: Everything. Slightly longer answer is Christian fellowship within the student body and intentional mentorship from Corban professors.
“Our focus is always going to be on you growing in your faith and also growing as an athlete, but always the faith piece first.” - Track and Field Head Coach Todd Bos
