Toasting Excellence Toastmasters

Our next Open House is this Wednesday, April 8! The theme of the meeting is: Roots and Shoots! We all begin somewhere and Toasting Excellence is a fun Toastmaster club that will help you achieve whatever your goals are. We meet in the basement conference room E in the Labor and Industries Building, 350 Winter Street, NE in Salem at 12:05 to 1:00. Hope to see you there!

Our open house on January 14th was fun as always! Welcome to our guests, Michael, Connor, and Kaylee, it sounds like you had fun also! The theme was, "Toastmasters doesn't hibernate, wake up your voice this winter" and our Toastmaster, Lyle, a great job with it! Our speaker, Adele, gave a speech about the importance of good communication, and table topics were led by Melissa and were all interesting questions! Good job everyone, see you next Wednesday!

2026 is just around the corner! We won't have a meeting on December 31 but will be meeting again each week starting on January 7! And our open house will be on January 14. Come join us for learning, support and FUN!

We had a fun (as always!) meeting on the 10th! Robert did a great job as TM with the theme of "Flexibility". So appropriate, especially with so much going on! Kimmi's word of the day was Grandjeur, and it was used by a few of us. Table topics was fun as always, with Mark having us pull quotes out of a stocking and select one to talk about! Melissa did a great job on her first time as general evaluator, and our speech evaluator, Mike gave Adele some good feedback for her speech, The Best Club.

Next week's toastmaster will be Melissa! She will let us know what the theme is.

Note: because of the holidays, we will NOT have a meeting on December 24th or December 31st. But be prepared for the first meeting in January on the 7th!

Martina Sierra finished the Toastmasters Motivational Strategies Pathway with her speech, “What’s Your Mission?” today at our Open House. Yay! She’s been working on this for five years, while also getting through levels 3 and 2 on the Presentation Mastery and Effective Coaching pathways respectively. She plans to complete at least one more level in each of those this year.

Lyle just completed his Level 5 in the Presentation Mastery Path.

And who better to have as our guest speaker than Leanna Lindquist, Past District 7 Director! Leanna's speech title is "Laugh Your Way to the Top."
