What a great evening with the Oregon Entrepreneurs Network at their June PubTalk!

We were proud to host and see Atkinson Graduate School of Management Professor Tim Johnson join an outstanding panel alongside Tisson Mathew, CEO of Skypoint, and Suzame Tong, Founder of Level Seven.

Moderated by Reggie Wideman, Senior Client Partner at Stitch, the discussion explored some of the biggest questions surrounding AI and innovation today, including, responsible AI adoption, common mistakes startups make when implementing AI tools, balancing innovation with accountability, and reducing bias in AI systems.

Thank you to Oregon Entrepreneurs Network for another thoughtful conversation and creating opportunities for our community to learn from industry leaders shaping the future of business and technology.

Throwback to this spring break, when Willamette MBA students traveled to Japan as part of our Global Management in Japan course! ✈️🇯🇵

One of the unique benefits of the Willamette MBA experience is the opportunity to participate in international study abroad experiences. With two global learning opportunities offered each academic year, students gain firsthand insight into how business is conducted around the world.

Join us on a mini travel vlog with Ian Sherwood, MBA for Professionals Class of ‘26:

“Japan has a way of pulling you back. I’d lived there twice as an exchange student—high school in southern Japan, college in Osaka—so when Willamette’s MBA program offered a study abroad trip, it was an easy yes.

I reconnected with my old host family, revisited places I hadn’t seen in years, and even got to meet the head of Nike Japan. I also heard the U.S. Ambassador to Japan speak, which was pretty remarkable. The bonds I built with my classmates along the way are ones I’ll carry long after graduation.

Willamette’s MBA program doesn’t just teach international business, it lets you experience it.”

From meeting global business leaders to building lifelong connections with classmates, these experiences help prepare our students to lead in an increasingly interconnected world. 🌏
