Xavier Norwood is teaching trumpet and low brass, Andrew Dickinson is teaching clarinet and saxophone, Brooke Blizzard is teaching violin, and Christian Speaker is returning to teach drum kit and mallet percussion on our new marimba!

The Mannington Music School and The Blue Moon Theatre are at the Salem County Fair this week, Aug 8-11. Come out and visit. Bring the kids to play in our Instrument Petting Zoo. Receive a free gift when you register for lessons at the fair.

WATCH OUT FOR MUSIC INSTRUMENT SCAM. As the owner of a community music school, I often get emails from people looking for a home for a musical instrument, and many of them offer it for free to a passionate student. However, there is a scam going around offering a free Yamaha Baby Grand piano. I've now received between 6-12 of these offers. The photos of the piano are always the same. They are looking for someone to take their late spouse's like new Yamaha baby grand. Recipient pays the piano moving cost. The piano is always in possession of a moving company. You call the moving company to arrange delivery and make a payment, but there is no piano.

Please spread the word and don't get fooled. There are legit offers of free instruments, but this is not one of them!

Music class at The Mannington Music School is starting in October for 5.5-7 year olds. Semester 1 of Kindermusik for the Young Child is just the first step on your child's musical journey. This multi-sensory class teaches your child that music is a social activity, while teaching music fundamentals and reading music. $240 for 15 weeks of class. [email protected]

Our acting students have been studying hard this year. They had lots of fun filming this scene from Beauty and the Beast. Acting class meets on Tuesdays, and has classes for 6-11 year olds, and 12-16 year olds.
