🎉 Career Day was a HUGE success! 🎉

A big THANK YOU to everyone who took time out of their day to come visit Oak Hill and share their careers, experiences, and knowledge with our students! 💙💛

Our students had such a great time learning about the many different career paths and possibilities waiting for them in the future. Days like today wouldn’t be possible without the amazing support of our families, community members, businesses, and organizations who are willing to invest their time in our kids.

📸 We captured lots of great moments throughout the day, so over the next few days I’ll be working on sharing pictures from all of the fun!

Thank you again to everyone who helped make Career Day 2026 such a memorable experience for our Oak Hill Raiders! 💙💛

Our 4th graders got a little messy with science today while learning about tectonic plates and plate boundaries! Students used graham crackers and icing to model how Earth’s plates move and interact.

They explored the three main types of plate boundaries: divergent, convergent, and transform, using their graham cracker “plates” to see what happens when plates move apart, collide, or slide past one another. 🌋🌎

Hands-on activities like this help turn big science concepts into something students can actually see, touch, and understand—and a little icing certainly makes learning more fun! 💙💛

💙💛 Oak Hill 8th Grade Families! 💛💙

We’re excited to be part of the Dent County Student Leadership Council (DCSLC) — a partnership bringing together student leaders from schools across Dent County with one goal: making the transition to high school as smooth and successful as possible! 🎓

We encourage our 8th-grade students and families to follow the DCSLC page for updates, helpful information, opportunities, and resources related to the transition to high school.

Our selected student representatives will also serve as the voice of their classmates, sharing their questions, concerns, and ideas with the committee throughout the year. 🗣️

Be sure to follow along as our schools work Stronger Together! 💙💛❤️🩵🖤
