When asked about her interest in directing “Children of Eden”, Alexandra shared this:
I wanted to direct “Children of Eden” as a chance to delve into the beauty of human flaws and how they can also be our greatest strength - our divine within ourselves. “Children of Eden” is, on surface, a collection of Old Testament stories. These stories highlight the complexity of family members loving, holding onto, leaving, and, in a few instances, of letting go of each other. I love that some characters find loss in letting go and others find that what you love returns to you in the freedom that comes with the power of choice. The music runs the gamut of emotions and is fantastically catchy. This cast is phenomenal. They fill the stage with powerhouse vocals and deeply touching performances. The audience will be brought on quite a journey stretching from creation to the great flood to hope.
