✨Updated the hay room to concrete flooring this week✨ Removed 8 plastic pallets that occupied most of the space. Less hay waste. Now we are able to move the grain storage to the feed room. We are delighted to have this space without the pallets as it was slick when covered in hay and hard to step up when stacking bales. Great improvement for the entire barn.

Our last barn project for 2024 was updating the remaining stall fronts in the barn. ✨All stalls now have custom ordered Noble stall fronts 🤩This was a great 10 year anniversary gift. ❤️Makes morning and evening feeding easy with lift to open windows on the outside. 🎉

To prepare our barn for the upcoming rainy season, we hired Highway Fuel to bring their conveyor truck and spread new gravel for the horses' turnouts. Each stall has rubber mats in the high traffic areas to help make cleaning easier. Here’s hoping we can keep up with all the rain this season. 🍂 🌧️ ❄️ ☀️

This summer, we made several improvements to our horse facilities, including adding concrete to the hay barn, repairing fence posts, installing gates, updating the wash rack, and reconfiguring the manure cribs. Once finished, these modifications will enable easy access to cleaning horse stalls and a wash rack that can accommodate both large and small horses. We are also working on installing rubber mats to reduce mud in high-traffic areas. Currently, we are waiting for the weather to cool down to reseed our back pasture for better grass next spring. Stay tuned!

Each year we try to select a few things around the barn to upgrade. This year we decided to change out the stall doors and grills. Now we can open the stall doors with one finger! It looks amazing and we love the new feeder doors. Can’t wait to upgrade the rest of the barn but for now we will enjoy these two stalls.

We don't always ask our tractor for this much, but when we do, it prefers to deliver beyond all expectations.

With lots of planning and a bit of luck we were able to complete the 60 ft round pen today! It’s nice to be able to work the horses outside and get some of their Spring energy out. Stay tuned for more improvements as we continue into Spring.
