Economic equality is reproductive justice.

Not all women make 80 cents for every dollar earned by men. Black women are now the most educated group in the United States, and yet they are paid only 67 cents for every $1 a white non-Hispanic man makes. Today, , represents the number of days into 2017 a Black woman must work to earn the same pay a white man did the previous year. If you fought for equity on Equal Pay Day, you have a duty to fight for equity for ALL women.

Such a choice violates the fundamental constitutional right to reproductive autonomy and bodily integrity by interfering with the intimate decision of whether and when to have a child, imposing an intrusive medical procedure on individuals who are not in a position to reject it. Judges play an important role in our community – overseeing individuals’ childbearing capacity should not be part of that role."

Tennessee Inmates are Being Offered a Horrifying Choice: Jail Time or Sterilization Prisoners at the White County jail in Sparta, TN, have recently been given a horrifying choice: Serve their entire sentence behind bars or agree to undergo a sterilization procedure, courtesy of the Tennessee Department of Health, in exchange for a reduced sentence.

"I took a (terrified) best friend to a CPC (accidentally) 2 years ago. Not only did they treat her poorly, they also told her that her pregnancy was ectopic and life-threatening. Several days later, we went to Planned Parenthood and were met with properly-trained medical professionals who provided both information on all options AND quality healthcare. She made the decision that was right for her and was supported in that decision. She now has a beautiful, healthy little girl.
The pregnancy was never ectopic. The ultrasound tech at the CPC was just not properly trained.
I could not emphasize the danger of these politically-motivated "healthcare" facilities enough. Please be aware!"
