The facility is handicapped accessible; offers seating for over 400; includes individual and group study rooms; has a "silent study" floor, two computer lab areas, and the Goode-Pasfield Center for Learning and Teaching. More than 3000 new items are added to the collection annually. Fintel library has a combined catalog and shares its collection with the Wyndham Robertson Library at Hollins University through a reciprocal borrowing agreement. This agreement has the effect of placing many additional volumes in the hands of our students. A weekday courier service provides delivery within 24-hours of a request. The Fintel Library houses the Roanoke College Archives. In addition to the historical records relating to the College, the holdings include rare books, the papers of both former Secretary of the Treasury Henry H. Fowler and former Congressman James R. Olin, and the photographs of E. Howard Hammersley. The Archives also has on deposit the records of the Virginia Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America. Finals week survival kit, Fintel edition! ✌🏻

We made book flowers — yes, actual flowers made out of books — and we're handing them out starting on Reading Day (Wednesday, 4/22), while supplies last.

A pick-me-up that you give to someone else? A memento for yourself? You decide!

Keep an eye out for how to get yours!

This is Elias. He's one of our student assistants here at Fintel Library — the kind of person who shows up, cares about his work, and makes everyone's library experience that much better.

You might also know him from the men's track team; he just returned from nationals where he earned Second Team All-America honors in the 800 meters (as a sophomore!).🏃

Or from the concert hall, where he sings with the Roanoke College Concert Choir. 🎶

Or maybe just from around campus, where he's exactly the kind of person everyone seems to know and like. 🙏🏻

Student. Athlete. Student Assistant. Choir member. Colleague. Maroon.

Congratulations, Elias — we're proud to call you one of our own.

🏆 You are roughly 75% through the academic year. The final quarter is where championships are won.

📊 Pareto's Principle: 80% of your results come from 20% of your effort — identify those high-leverage moments now.

🌸 Spring doesn't apologize for blooming under pressure. Neither should you.

📈 A 1% improvement every day for 50-ish days compounds into something unrecognizable.

🗳️ Every study session between now and April 28th is a vote for the person you're becoming.

📚 Every great comeback story includes a Fintel Library scene. We're here for it!

🏀 Tournament time!

As the Roanoke Maroons men's basketball heads into the NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Tournament, excitement is building across Roanoke College.

Want to know what a national championship run looks like? In 1972, Roanoke reached the top.

Don’t just imagine it—explore it. 📸🎥

The library’s digital archive features photos and videos from that historic championship team.

Take a look back while cheering on this year’s squad. 🔥
