Selmaville C.C.S.D. #10 would like to begin by thanking Ms. Dawn Jayne for her time and service as our Athletic Director over the past several years. We sincerely appreciate the time, energy, and commitment she has given to our students, coaches, and athletic programs.

We are pleased to announce that the Selmaville Board of Education has approved the hiring of Ms. Jenna Tate as our new Athletic Director.

Ms. Tate brings a wealth of experience to this position, including 16 years of experience as a Girls’ Basketball Coach, as well as coaching experience in girls’ soccer and cross country and experience serving as a Running Club sponsor.

In addition to her coaching experience, Ms. Tate currently serves Selmaville as our School Counselor, McKinney-Vento Liaison and Truancy Officer and is a member of our Conscious Discipline Leadership Team. Through the many roles she serves within our district, Ms. Tate has consistently demonstrated her ability to multitask, organize, collaborate with others, and take on challenges wherever she is needed. Most importantly, she continually strives to do what is best for our students.

We are excited to have Ms. Tate step into this new leadership role and look forward to her continued commitment to our students, staff, coaches, families, and athletic programs.

Please join us in thanking Ms. Jayne for her years of service and congratulating Ms. Tate on her new position as Athletic Director!

Selmaville Families,

It’s hard to believe, but the first day of school is almost here! We are excited to get everyone back in the building and get the 2026–2027 school year started.

A few reminders as we head into next week:

Our Open House will be Friday, August 14 from 6:00–7:00 p.m. We will begin in the main gym and then give families time to visit classrooms. We hope to see everyone there!

The first day of school is Monday, August 17. School begins at 8:10 a.m., and morning drop-off begins at 7:45 a.m.

During the first week of school, August 17–21, we will dismiss at 2:00 p.m. each day. Beginning Monday, August 24, we will return to our regular dismissal time of 3:10 p.m.

One other item we want families to be aware of is transportation. We will begin the year with three bus routes, and we expect that to continue for at least the first three weeks of school. This may mean some changes in pickup and drop-off times. If your child has a different bus driver than last year, that driver will be in touch with you before school starts.

As with any new school year, we may have to make a few adjustments once we get everyone back and see how the routes run each day. We appreciate your patience with us, especially during those first few days. If you have any questions, please feel free to call the district office at 618-548-2416.

We’re ready for the hallways and classrooms to be full again. Enjoy the last few days of summer, and we’ll see everyone soon!
