The Spirit Wellness Institute is a SOUL focused school with programs ranging from massage therapy certification to shamanic practitioner training. We offer workshops and curriculum that reflect our desire to deepen the knowledge between the physical and spiritual bodies in order to assist practitioners in coming into alignment to share their gifts of inner being with the world. Our curriculum is diverse with an emphasis on robust knowledge about the physical systems of the human experience as well as the energetic and divine aspects of being. Our school will provide an opportunity for great spiritual growth as well as a rich and masterful education while preparing you to share skills with others to expand healing in the human experience.

Samantha is a north shore native, and is elated to be part of Spirit Wellness Institute's massage therapy program.

She has a background in customer service. Inspired by her own experience finding relief from chronic pain through massage, Samantha is passionate about helping others feel more comfortable and supported in their bodies. Her therapeutic touch can be described as intuitive, intentional and deep.

When not in school, Samantha's outside interests include crafting, painting and spending time with friends.

Yelena (she/her)

After concluding her career as a beloved women’s health care physician in western Massachusetts, Yelena relocated to Rockport where she is excited to align her longtime interest in massage with the Spirit Wellness Institute program.

Yelena is committed to an evidence-based approach to wellness, embracing meditation, movement, nutrition, and, most importantly, touch. She is excited to explore what it means to combine mind, heart, and hands to help heal others through massage. In spare time, Yelena loves to read voraciously, grow and cook food for loved ones, travel the world, and explore the local beaches, quarries, and forests of Cape Ann

Yelena’s touch can be described as skilled and knowing.

Bethany (she/her) lives in Somerville, Massachusetts.

After years working as a software developer, she is thrilled to make a career transition as a student in Spirit Wellness Institute’s massage therapy program. She chose massage therapy because she believes everyone can benefit from a deeper integration between mind, body, and spirit.

Her therapeutic touch can be described as confident and intuitive.

Outside of school, Bethany enjoys rock climbing, hiking, yoga, dance, singing with friends, and wrestling with her fierce little cattle dog. Bethany looks forward to meeting you in clinic!

Emily She/her

Emily was born and raised in NH then spent 21 years in Boston and finally landed herself by the on the south shore for the last several years.

She is honored and excited to be a part of the wonderful massage program at Spirit Wellness Institute. It’s been a dream to continue her education in body work with such amazing teachers and classmates.

Emily has a background in hairstyling energy work. Along with studying different styles of yoga and currently Ayurveda she finds alternative ways of healing the body fascinating and important.

She chose to study massage therapy because it seemed like the natural next step on her journey of education towards helping others. Her hands on work can be described at intuitive and relaxing.

Outside of the classroom she can be found snuggling with her fur babies and fiancé. She enjoys crafting and knitting, reading, creating playlists for her classes and volunteering as a kitten socializer.

Victoria(She Her)

Victoria is a Boston native and is thrilled to be part of the massage therapy program at Spirit Wellness Institute.

She comes to massage with a background in trauma-informed somatic and restorative yoga, and chose this path because she loves holding space for 1:1 healing Victoria believes deeply in the power of co-regulation, gentle presence, and the softening that can occur through compassionate touch.

Her intention is to support each client’s wellness journey by creating time and space to unwind, reconnect, and tend to the nervous system.

Outside the classroom, Victoria enjoys good food, time outdoors, local farming, and daydreaming about her future puppy.

Kristen (She/Her)

Kristen is originally from Charleston, WV, But has called Charlestown, MA, home for the past 14 years.

Kristen has a background in Social Work, and Phlebotomy. She is excited to be a part of the massage program at Spirit Wellness Institute.

She chose to study Massage Therapy because she loves working hands-on, in a healing capacity. She plans to provide end-of-life massage within hospice, personal homes, and care facilities. She is also considering post natal massage.

Outside of school, Kristen enjoys time with her One grown child (23), fitness, gardening in pots, and gathering with dear friends. She also appreciates creativity, nature, and fashion. She is an animal-lover, from scales to fur, and always aims to approach life with kindness.

Kristen wants to support your wellness journey by working with intention and care.

Kolya (he/they)

Kolya moved to Salem, MA from Ithaca, NY to attend the massage program at Spirit Wellness Institute. Kolya is a coffee professional and former barista union organizer. After developing a passion for self-treating his pain, Kolya is pursuing massage therapy to share his healing with others. He wants to support your healing with his presence and compassion.

Outside of work and school, Kolya enjoys reading, writing, and talking to friends on the phone.

Gavriella (She/Her)

Gavriella is originally from the beautiful Pacific Northwest, but she has happily called the Boston area home for the last six years. She is excited to be a part of the massage program at Spirit Wellness Institute.

Gavriella has a background in farming and outdoor education, where she first
discovered a passion for helping people become more embodied through somatic experiencing and connecting with nature. This led her to study massage as a further modality for guiding souls along a healing path of embodied feeling and connection.

Gavriella hopes to support your
wellness journey through thoughtful, gentle massage, informed by her background in reiki and the spiritual arts. Outside of the classroom, Gavriella loves developing her goat-herding skills, singing with her community, doing fiber and leather crafts, and exploring the offerings of Massachusetts’ ecosystems.
