Here’s some great info about our Student Enterprise Department:

There are three shops available for students during Residential hours. Payments can be made via debit and major credit cards, as well as Cash App.
• The Student Store offers beverages, snacks, candy, frozen products, and Chemawa merchandise.
• The Snack Bar provides fried foods and grilled options.
• The Coffee Bar features smoothies, teas, lemonade, and various coffee beverages.

Chemawa provides a Student Bank on campus at no cost to students. Please note that this service does not issue debit or credit cards. There are two ATMs available on campus (located in the dormitory kitchen/lounge and the Student Center); each withdrawal incurs a $1 fee in addition to any applicable bank fees. Students must present valid photo identification, such as Tribal, State, or Chemawa ID, when using banking services.

Payroll, tribal funds, money orders, and cashier checks may be sent to Chemawa for deposit into a student account with usage limitations, or they may be cashed during Student Bank operating hours. The check cashing limit is $1,000. Amounts exceeding this limit will be deposited into the student account, from which funds may be withdrawn as needed.

Job Opportunities at Chemawa for students:

Student Center workers receive cash from the Student Bank. Other departments—Food Service, Residential, Facilities, and Academic—pay by payroll checks. Students can set up direct deposit to get funds faster through a bank account or services like Cash App; physical checks take 3–4 weeks to process. Checks can be cashed at the Student Bank.

Chemawa Football took a 20-14 victory over Oakridge JV! The offense was led by two touchdowns from Liwanu, one touchdown from Koah, and a two-point conversion by Leon. The defense had a great team effort from everyone on the team. Well done boys!!!

Chemawa Lady Braves kept it close but lost a close one in 5 sets at Columbia of Portland. The girls played hard after having only a handful of practices and will continue to improve as the season goes along!
