WCA Manufacturing

Today, five WCA students participated in the Oregon Welding League competition hosted by McMinville High School. Students were able to come away with a 2nd place tie for art design of a welding helmet drawing, 2nd and 3rd place Oxyacetylene welding, and finally, 3rd place for TIG welding!!!! GREAT JOB STUDENT!!!!

A few more items for our Winter Festival at the .career.academy coming up on Tuesday the 16th. Students use CAD software to create designs to be produced by industrial automated equipment. Processes used to make products are (metallurgy), and for metal cutouts and for laser engraving.

We would like to introduce our very first welding competition team for WCA Manufacturing!!! Students will be competing in MIG, stick, and MIG/TIG welding combo; with one student doing the machining competition in both manual lathe and manual milling machine.
