Little Friends Montessori is located in downtown Salem, Oregon near the capitol building. Many of our family enjoy the benefits of our central location! Our program is based on Montessori teaching methods and our passionate staff create a loving learning environment each day for our students. We have a great group of children in our school and we all look forward to the fun and learning that each day brings!

Saying goodbye to the 2025-2026 school year! What a wonderful year in the books 📚💚 It’s always a bittersweet time of year as transitions happen but we love to see the growth from each of our friends!

At the June 8 meeting of Salem City Council, area musicians accepted a proclamation honoring Make Music Day from Mayor Julie Hoy.

Begun in France in 1982, "over the past four-plus decades, Make Music Day has grown into a global phenomenon, celebrated in more than 2,000 cities ... across 125 countries, on the summer solstice, June 21..."

The event invites people of all ages and skill levels -- whether amateur or professional -- to share their music in streets, parks, plazas, storefronts, gardens and proches, all free and open to the public ..."

Make Music Day will take place at venues throughout Salem, including downtown, Salem Public Library and Riverfront Park.
