Easy set up, endless fun! 💦 Today’s outside activity was as simple as it get: water, cups, and pool noodles. That’s it! Yet the children spent so much time pouring, scooping, mixing, experimenting, and creating their own play. Sometimes the best activities aren’t the most complicated-they’re the ones that leave room for imagination, problem-solving, and lots of smiles 💕✨

Today the children explored movement, balance, and body control with a fun “between two pints” obstacle activity! 🕸️🐜 Using string, we created different sections for the children to move through-some low enough to step over and others high enough to crawl underneath. The children practiced “shrinking” their bodies as they crawled on hand and knees like tiny worker ants traveling through tunnels. Then came the challenge: “high spider legs!” 🕷️The children carefully lifted their knees high toward their chests to step over the yarn without “breaking the silk.” This activity encouraged coordination, focus, balance, and lots of imaginative play while building gross motor skills. We loved watching their confidence grow as they navigated each challenge with determination and big smiles! 💛

As we conclude Teacher Appreciation Week, I'm filled with heartfelt gratitude for the incredible educators who've shaped my life and the countless lives I've had the privilege to touch as a teacher. It's a profound honor to be part of a profession that fosters growth, learning, and love. I'm thankful for the journey we've embarked on at A Place to Grow, a school that's become a beacon of hope and development. Together, we've witnessed growth in every aspect - our students, teachers, curriculum, and community have all flourished. Here's to another year of holistic growth - physical, emotional, and professional - for our children, families, and educators, as we continue to thrive and spread the joy of learning.

Today we explored science and nature through a fun, hands-on water activity! 🍃💧 The children gathered “treasures” from outside and carefully placed them in water to see what would happen. We observed which items floated and which ones sank, sparking lots of curiosity and great conversation!
