The Salado High School Speech and Debate Team competed at the Plano Senior TFA Meet on August 28th,
Hendrickson/Pflugerville TFA Meet on September 5 and the Buffalo Tournament That Teaches on September 11th.

TFA

At the Plano Senior TFA Meet, Hunter Foster reached the quarter final round of competition in LD Debate. As a result, he received 2 TFA points. 28 schools participated in the meet.

Hunter Foster reached the final round of LD Debate at the Hendrickson/Pflugerville Meet. He lost to Westlake HT in the final round. He received 6 TFA points. 54 schools from 4 states competed in the meet.

To qualify for the Texas Forensic Association State Meet a student needs 12 points. The meet will be held March 9-12, 2022 at Gregory Portland High School in Portland, TX.

At the Buffalo High School Tournament That Teaches on September 11th, the team won the overall championship. 22 schools participated in the meet. Individual results are as follows:

UIL Congress Results

The Salado High School Speech and Debate Team competed at the UIL Region 12 Congress Meet on November 10. 516 schools participated in the Meet.

Representing Salado were Connor Howard, Hunter Foster, Sawyer Bagley, James Tipton and Wriley Rhoads. Connor Howard placed 1st, Hunter Foster placed 2nd and Sawyer Bagley placed 3rd. This is the 7th year in a row Salado has swept the meet.

Howard, Foster and Bagley will represent Salado High School in January at the state meet held at the State Capitol of Texas.
