Learning Express Preschool Fun and Educational Preschool in Ste. Genevieve, right next to Ste. Genevieve R-II School District Office. We believe in positive guidance and discipline.

Learning Express Philosophy

We believe that children explore and discover throughout the day during play. We incorporate each child's social, emotional, cognitive and physical development into our daily curriculum. We accept that each child is an individual and unique in his or her own way. We believe in providing a fun, safe and educational environment through structured play. Activities will in

clude free playtime as well as structured playtime, we will incorporate into the activities gross motor skills, fine motor skills, arts and crafts, circle time, story time and music. We encourage children to explore the world around them while engaging in play. We encourage good personnel hygiene skills and manners throughout the day. Encouraging children to use their WORDS to work through situations with others. Praise and encouragement of good behavior is stressed. We want children to feel safe and secure as they would in their own home. Daily communication will be encouraged between the families and teachers. We believe the preschool environment should be clean, safe and inviting to the children and families. It is our goal that your child will find learning to be an exciting adventure in life and to learn something new with every new day!!

I can't believe today was my last day with Learning Express. I made the hard decision that this would be my last year and it has gone by so fast. I am so thankful for all of the families I have had while being Owner/Director. I still have kids come up to me. Some that are in High School just to say Hi and give me a hug. I'm sure that will continue! To all of the amazing teachers I have had over the past 9 years - Thank you for all of your hard work and dedication with the kiddos! You mean just as much to me as the kids and families! Thanks to Sharon Grither, who was with me from day 1 to today, our last day. Thanks to Julie Huff Papin, who helped guide me into taking over the preschool when it was Leap Ahead. Every child and teacher has a special place in my heart. ❤️
As they say when one door closes another one opens. I will continue my love of working with children at Ste Genevieve RII School District as a Paraprofessional in the New Early Childhood Center this August. I am excited for this new adventure in my life. A special Thanks to my family Scott Wehner, Thyme Schaaf Armbruster , Jaden Wehner , Chloe and Seth. They have always been so supportive of me and my adventures.
Lastly, my Learning Express chair is on the front porch of the preschool. If any of the kiddos that I have had would like to stop in and sign it or leave a small message anywhere on the chair, please do. I would love that as a keep sake!! It will be up there most of July, and was specially made by my daughter, Jaden, when she was in high school. Lots of love!
