We are thrilled to celebrate Allyson Garrison, our Teacher of the Year, and Ginger Strehle, our Support Staff Member of the Year!

If you know either of these incredible women, you know just how deserving they are of these honors. Their dedication, servant hearts, and love for our students and school community make such a difference each and every day.

We are incredibly grateful to have Allyson and Ginger as part of our SSCS family and can’t wait to celebrate them formally in October!

Our 2026–27 Convocation Service was a beautiful time of worship through beloved hymns! 🎶 What a joy to learn the stories behind these timeless songs and reflect on the meaning they continue to hold for us today.

We are especially grateful for the opportunity to gather as an entire SSCS community—worshiping together as an intergenerational body of believers and lifting our voices in praise to the One who faithfully leads us into another school year. What a powerful way to begin! 🙏

A heartfelt thank-you to Community Church & their amazing staff for always being the most gracious hosts and for helping with so many details, both behind the scenes (shout out to Jackson Bethune Music LLC) and on the stage. We are so grateful for your partnership! 🤝

And to Justin Davidson, Lucas Ramirez, Travis Fulp, and jamesgunderman — thank you for your prayers over our students, teachers, and families. Your words were a powerful blessing, and we are grateful for the way God used each of you to speak life and encouragement over our SSCS family.

While our students may have only just begun, our SSCS staff has been hard at work for weeks preparing for the year ahead! 📚✨

We shared great joy as we gathered to learn, plan, and prepare our hearts for a new school year—and what better way to begin than in prayer?

During our annual Prayer Walk through the halls, we were reminded of the Holy Spirit’s presence and the deep love within this incredible community. We prayed over each other, our classrooms, students, and families, trusting God to guide every step.🙏

We are so grateful for this SSCS family and the ways He continues to lead and unite us. There’s truly no better way to welcome everyone back! ❤️🖤

Our Back-to-School Drop-In & Ice Cream Social was a sweet success! 🍦📚

It was such a joy to welcome our SSCS families as we kick off a brand-new school year. From the creative touches in each uniquely designed classroom to the joyful hugs of friends reuniting, the evening was filled with smiles, laughter, and excitement for all that’s ahead.

We’re so thankful for our incredible school community and eagerly anticipate all God has in store this year. Thank You, Lord, for faithfully orchestrating every step and for the blessing of beginning another year together!

Shout out to Mr. Z for delivering nearly 40 pounds of pop tabs collected by our SSCS family to the Ronald McDonald House in Savannah! ❤️🖤

These small tabs make a big impact. Through their recycling program, the proceeds help offset the cost of serving families staying at RMHC Coastal Empire. Families are never charged for their stay during some of life’s most challenging moments, and programs like these help ensure that promise remains true.🏠

We are so grateful to be part of this meaningful community effort and proud of our students for showing Christ’s love through simple acts of generosity! 🤝
