As St. Charles Parish Public Schools continues to monitor winter weather conditions in coordination with the St. Charles Parish Emergency Operations Center, the school system has made the decision to close all schools and the School Board Office on Monday, January 26, 2026. This decision is being made now to provide families with time to prepare.

Forecasts indicate temperatures are expected to be below freezing during the morning arrival period. Closing schools on Monday will allow the district time to assess the condition and operational status of facilities and campus areas once temperatures rise later in the day.

At this time, schools and offices are expected to reopen on Tuesday, January 27, 2026. We will continue monitoring conditions, and any change to school operations will be communicated no later than 5 PM on Monday through the school system’s established communication channels.

Safety remains a top priority when making decisions about school operations, while also balancing the needs of students, employees, families, and the broader community.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to make the best decisions for everyone’s safety and wellbeing.
