🎉 Welcome to the Albert Cammon Family, Mrs. Valerie Chiasson! 💙🏴‍☠️
We are so excited to welcome Mrs. Valerie Chiasson to Albert Cammon Middle School as our Literacy Interventionist.
Mrs. Chiasson brings an incredible 23 years of experience in education, beginning her teaching career at St. Rose Elementary. Since then, she has taught in three parishes and three states. A proud graduate of Nicholls State University, she holds degrees in Elementary Education and Special Education and specializes in reading and language arts.
Her passion for helping students discover books that match their interests and become lifelong readers is something we know our Pirates will benefit from! 📚❤️
Outside the classroom, Mrs. Chiasson loves to travel and looks forward to getting to know her students and becoming part of the Albert Cammon community.

Our students are learning that a strong school community starts with a social contract. Today, our ACM teammates helped create our school’s social contract of expectations to which everyone can commit. We are excited to continue our focus on social-emotional learning this school year!

🏴‍☠️ Meet Coach Stock! 🏐🏀🥎
We’re excited to welcome Coach Stock to the Cammon family!
A 2003 Destrehan High School graduate, Coach Stock played volleyball, basketball, and softball and was named Most Athletic Female her senior year. She went on to play college basketball and is entering her 15th year teaching in St. Charles Parish.
She has coached volleyball, tennis, and basketball at Destrehan and is excited to bring her high school athletic knowledge to Cammon—helping our female athletes build the skills and confidence they need to succeed in high school sports and beyond!

Our 8th-grade ELA students put their inferring skills to work during a gallery walk! Students examined a variety of artifacts, made observations, gathered clues, and used the evidence to draw conclusions about what they saw.

This activity helped prepare our students for our unit, Folklore of Latin America, where they’ll continue using evidence and inferences to dig deeper into stories, traditions, and cultural perspectives. 🌎📚
