7th and 8th graders in Ms. Pope's STEM Explorations class recently put their design skills to the test building boats out of cardboard and duct tape.

The challenge - the boats had to fit and float with one of the team members across a swimming pool!

Thank you Speer YMCA allowing our engineers to test their projects!

Thank you to SPOCS Orthodontics for generously supporting Shorecrest students, teachers and volunteers this year as a Community Sponsor.

Led by Shorecrest parent Dr. Ahmed Mansour, recently opened in St. Petersburg, bringing Dr. Mansour’s expertise, Elite Provider Invisalign experience, and in-house SPOCS Orthodontics Aligners to the area. Dr. Mansour and his wife, pediatric rheumatologist Dr. Lilly Barillas-Arias, and their children Yousef ’27 and Maya ’28 have become meaningful members of the School community.

Through SPOCS, they have supported the Shore to Shorecrest 5K Walk/Run, Electric Fall Festival, LEGO and VEX Robotics, and the Charger Spirit Halftime Competition.

Thank you, SPOCS Orthodontics, for supporting the events that bring our community together! ⚡

Our youngest Chargers displayed their bravery, resilience and gross motor skills in the Experiential School spring tradition of Alpha on the Go. Before a cheering crowd of their biggest fans, the Alphas rode their scooters, bikes and trikes down Charger Blvd.

We are so proud of you, Class of 2040!

Each year since Shorecrest’s first graduating class in 1976, faculty have selected one senior who represents the best qualities of a Shorecrest student: leadership, scholarship, mentorship and service.

The 2026 Outstanding Senior is Braden Stone '26, a Shorecrest Lifer whose impact has been felt across campus: in the classroom, on the field, through student leadership, in the Chronicle student newspaper, with the Jewish Student Union, through Chargers Athletics and beyond.

Faculty describe Braden as the “motor” behind many facets of student life, a student who leads with integrity, generosity and purpose.

Per Shorecrest tradition, Braden will be invited to return as Commencement speaker for the Class of 2036, our current second graders.

Congratulations to Braden Stone, Shorecrest’s 2026 Outstanding Senior!

As our fourth graders prepare to move up to Middle School, we’re looking back on one of their milestone Lower School experiences - the fourth grade campout 🏕️

During this (chilly!) overnight adventure at DaySpring with Pathfinders, students spent time outdoors, away from technology, exploring how we live and interact with nature with a focus on sustainability.

The campout was a chance to build confidence, independence, resilience and connection, all qualities these Chargers will carry with them as they take the next big step in their Shorecrest journey.

Congratulations to the Shorecrest Lower School Chorus and Choral Director Ms. Rose Supper for their winning performance at the Music USA Festival!

The chorus of 13 students in grades 2-4 earned first place in the Open Concert Choir division at the annual festival at Universal Studios, Orlando.

These young singers took the stage in front of expert adjudicators, and also had the opportunity to take part in professional workshops following their performance.
