Senior C/C++ Developer, Linux
Our client in Carrollton, Texas has an urgent need for a strong senior-level C / C++ Developer to work on Debian GNU/Linux version 7.0 Wheezy, however Debian 7 experience is not required. Enjoy creating high-performance, fast-running, multi-threaded C code, with persistent threads, as well as writing algorithms that correlate with events, managing the memory, packets, and signatures. In addition, there is a plugin that feeds a service into the platform. It is a plus if the C programmer has written device drivers, or network adapter device drivers or has written C code interacting with or talking to network adapters or network adapter device drivers.
As a Senior C/C++ Developer, your focus will be on developing applications that interact with network adapters, network devices, mobile devices and servers, to monitor network traffic data and servers.
Senior C++ Developers are also specifically involved in providing input and recommendations on software design decisions in all of the following areas:
· Application architecture
· Network adapters
· Mobile phones, or Mobile Adapters
Job Requirements
Due to the advanced nature of this role, we are looking for Developers with at least 5 years of prior experience in all of the following areas:
· C/C++
· Linux administration
· Shell scripting (BASH)
· PHP scripting
The following are not required skills, but preference will be given to C++ Developers who have prior experience with the following, in descending order of importance:
· Real-time, multi-threaded, network programming, network monitoring, network adapters, mobile devices
· High performance C on Debian 7
Employment type: Regular Full-Time
Compensation: $ 90,000 to 120,000 per year
