SailFuture ignites and sustains transformational change in high-risk youth by developing trust and long term personal relationships that cater to each youth’s individual needs. Our programs leverage challenging sailing experiences, counseling, experiential education, and long-term housing to help some of society’s most challenging boys develop into independent young men.

A two weeks ago we introduced you to Eugene Son and Kevin Bradley, two guys about to attempt 300 miles in a 17-foot dinghy with no support, no checkpoints, and a bathroom situation we described as "tight."

Well, they finished. At 7am this past Wednesday, they crossed the finish line in Key Largo. 4th overall in monohull, 3rd in class, and 1st in the rookie division. Only about 40% of Everglades Challenge competitors can say they finished at all.

As Eugene put it: "If you gotta be dumb, you better be tough."

97 donors helped us raise over $26,000, and every dollar goes directly to SailFuture, helping us serve more than 150+ teens through education, vocational training, and international sailing expeditions.

Thank you to everyone who gave, shared, and cheered them on. Same time next year, boys?

Imagine sailing 300 miles through open Gulf waters and the Everglades backcountry, no chase boat, no crew, no checkpoints, all in a 17-foot dinghy. That's the Everglades Challenge, and only about 40% of people who start actually finish.

Eugene Son and Kevin Bradley are doing exactly that, starting this Saturday, to raise money for SailFuture. We were excited to welcome both captains to campus today, where they walked our students through their entire setup, safety gear, sleeping arrangements, food, the bathroom situation. Let's just say — it's tight.

Help us show some support for these two brave souls on their journey and make a donation in support of our cause!

Merry Christmas from SailFuture! 🎄

We're so grateful for the community that shows up for our boys and mission every day—especially those who helped sponsor gifts this year.

As we celebrate the holidays, we're counting down to January when our next crew sets sail for Panama. Until then, we'll be enjoying hot chocolate, comfy pajamas, and stable ground 😉

Thank you to everyone for making moments and adventures like this possible for our boys!

We're proud to recognize our Term 2 award winners! Every day at SailFuture, students earn a professionalism score—a 1 to 5 rating based on effort, time management, and maturity. Of all students on campus, these 6 earned the highest marks. They proved that the small stuff, being ready, staying focused, acting right, adds up.

We also celebrated students who embodied each of our guiding principles: Whatever It Takes, Ownership of Life Outcomes, People Matter, Innovative Solutions, and Seeking Excellence. Each winner was chosen because they showed us through their actions, not their words, what each principle looks like in practice.

Thank you to the Sundial Title team for investing in our students and for believing that young people deserve the chance to pursue career opportunities in high school! Partnerships like this are the backbone of what we do at SailFuture Academy.

Proud of you, Gabby. Keep up the good work!

For the past 5 months, Sundial Title has been proud to partner with SailFuture through their internship program. 💙

We’re excited to celebrate Gabby, our second intern, who has been an absolute pleasure to have in our office, bringing a positive attitude, curiosity, and a bright smile every day. Watching her grow, learn, and jump right into the world of real estate has been such a joy.

Supporting and mentoring the next generation of professionals is something we truly believe in, and we’re grateful for partnerships like this that make it so meaningful. 🌟

This past Saturday, we celebrated the graduation of SailFuture Academy's Class of 2025 🎓

Together they sailed 15,000 nautical miles; logged 1,000+ hours each in paid internships; achieved 12th-grade equivalency in Math and English; defended business plans for viable startups; and created comprehensive life plans for their futures.

But what really happened in that room was so much bigger than statistics.

We listened as our faculty—Ms. Cece, Mr. Secrest, Mr. Swainbank, Mr. Monceaux, and Mr. Angelo—told stories of transformation that had families reaching for tissues. We saw students who once believed they weren't "college material" receive diplomas as confident young professionals.

These graduates didn't just complete a program. They proved that when education evolves to meet students where they are—when we replace worksheets with real work, tests with real experience, and theory with practice—incredible things happen.

Saturday wasn't just a graduation. It was validation of everything we believe: that every student deserves an education that engages them, challenges them, and prepares them for the real world.
