Speech and language disorders can impact a child’s academic achievement, social development, and confidence. Each year, more than 1 million children receive speech and language services through schools nationwide. At Thurgood, our speech-language pathologists, Ms. James, supports students in areas including communication, fluency, social skills, cognition, feeding/swallowing, and alternative communication—helping every child find their voice and thrive.

Over the weekend our fabulous Band and Orchestra jaguars were on the prowl at Disney! They were able to create their own magic with their instruments and then explore the theme park with friends!

Today is the last day of Teacher Appreciation Week and we have truly felt the love ❤️. Thank you to our phenomenal PTA, Mrs. Black, Mrs. Blackburn, Mrs. Williams, and Mrs. Flinn for putting in all of their time and energy into making this a week to remember. Also, thank you to Liam and his family for baking the sweet treats today.
This week has been a wonderful community building week. We want to wish all mothers and mother figures a Happy Mother’s Day this weekend.
