Happy Valentine’s Day!! Coach Liv created a special Valentine envelope for each student ❤️

1 week mushroom update!!! We named our mushrooms Suzy and Brittany!! We are checking everyday to monitor growth and determine maturity. We have been looking at lots of yummy recipes to try when the mushrooms are ready.

A big shout out to JD Pierce for donating 2 Back to the Roots Mushroon Grow kits!!! We started the grow process Jan 10th by opening the bags and soaking the medium in water over night.

December has been another busy month for gladiator's growing for good. Lots of cooking going on, homemade pumpkin cream puffs, homemade Christmas cookies with homemade icing and celebrating birthdays with making birthday cakes. The students are learning how the pantry runs from deliveries every Wednesday to where they are allowed to bring home food from the pantry every Friday. Ms.Barko has talent show practice every Friday for the annual talent show in March, it's going to be a good show, i promise 😉

Gladiators growing for good ended the month of October by celebrating Halloween. We carved pumpkins and we had a big party with costumes treats and games!

October has been such a busy month for Gladiators Growing for Good . We have made quite a few different foods including mummy pizzas, caramel apples, roasted pumpkin seeds a French Apple cake, carved pumpkins and even had a special visitor from the SPCA--Titus the dog! And somehow Ms Scott even had time to show the students how to plant the fall garden and Ms. Barko started talent show practice for the annual spring talent show :) !

The past couple weeks Gladiators Growing for Good was all about the Apple... we made apple pie bars with and apple upside down cake all from scratch--even the crust! It was perfect for the first couple weeks of fall🍎❤🍎 ;) !

Last week Gladiators Growing For Good went bananas ;) ! We made banana bread, banana pudding, and banana roll-ups--thanks to a plentiful harvest from our banana tree!

The pantry is open!! We got our first delivery this week including honey nut cheerios and peanut butter. So we made honey nut cheerio peanut butter bars! Super yummy!

Thanks to a donation from Marcile Powers and Kenwood’s Organic Produce we got to make Ms. Barko’s famous upside down star fruit cake. Seriously it is delicious! Every recipe goes home with the students. This is the most loved!!
