There’s nothing better than getting our hands a little dirty while learning together! 🌱 Our gardening parent event at de La Fontaine Montessori School celebrated the beauty of nature, sensory exploration, and the importance of outdoor learning. Experiences like these help children connect with the environment while strengthening their curiosity, independence, and love for the natural world. Thank you to our wonderful families for growing alongside us! 🌼

Last week we celbeated Read Across America Week, and it’s the perfect reminder of just how powerful reading with children can be!

Reading to children of all ages plays a huge role in early childhood education. From babies listening to the rhythm of your voice, to toddlers pointing out pictures, to preschoolers predicting what happens next in the story—every moment spent reading helps build language, imagination, and a lifelong love of learning.

Books introduce new words, spark curiosity, and create meaningful connections between children and the adults in their lives. Even just a few minutes of reading each day can help strengthen literacy skills, attention, and creativity that support children as they grow into confident learners.

So this week (and every week), grab a book, get cozy, and read together! ❤️ The memories you create and the skills children gain will last a lifetime.
