MAP testing will begin on Monday, August 24.
Here is a brief rundown of what this test is all about.
📌WHAT IS MAP TESTING?
MAP testing is short for NWEA MAP testing. MAP stands for Measure of Academic Progress. It is a standardized test which allows students, parents, teachers, and administrators to understand what the student already knows and what the student is ready to learn next.
📌 HOW IS IT USED?
MAP testing helps our teachers track individual student progress. This is one way we seek to ensure that each child is on track.
📌 WHAT SUBJECTS ARE TESTED?
We test reading, language usage, and mathematics. Our K-3 students also take a reading fluency test that helps to compare their oral reading to their comprehension level.
📌 HOW OFTEN DO WE TEST?
MAP tests are taken three times per year.
