We are thrilled to share some incredible news!
Our 2026 Distinguished Alumnus and Class of 1980 graduate Ed Murphy, along with his wife Jennifer, have pledged an extraordinary $800,000 donation towards resodding our athletic field and a new rubberized track surface! The athletic field has already been resodded, and our track, which will be named the Murphy Family Field, is set to be completed by January 2027.
Thank you, Ed and Jennifer, for this remarkable act of generosity. Your commitment to St. Petersburg Catholic High School will impact our students for years to come. Thank you for investing in our future, we are so grateful!

Meet Derek Berset, Class of 1995 β a St. Petersburg Catholic alum whose faith, leadership, and commitment to service have shaped everything he has built since walking these halls.
Today, Derek serves as the third-generation Vice President of Comegys Insurance Agency, a Tampa Bay institution founded in 1939. But his connection to SPC didnβt end at graduation. Derek recently established The Berset Family Christian Servant Leadership Scholarship and The Berset Family Entrepreneurial Scholarship.
