Today, BPW Florida recognizes the anniversary of the Equal Pay Act, signed into law on June 10, 1963.

More than six decades later, the work continues. Pay equity is not just a women’s issue — it is an economic issue, a workplace issue, and a community issue. When women are paid fairly, families, businesses, and communities across Florida are stronger. On this anniversary, we recommit to advancing equity, opportunity, and economic security for working women.

Today, on International Day of Action for Women’s Health, BPW/FL reaffirms that women’s health is essential to women’s equality, economic security, and full participation in every part of life.

When women have access to the care, information, support, and workplace protections they need, they are better able to lead, work, serve, and thrive personally, professionally, and politically.

BPW/FL has long stood for empowering women across Florida — and that includes recognizing health as a foundation for opportunity, dignity, and independence.

On Memorial Day, BPW/FL pauses to honor those who gave their lives in service to our country.

Their sacrifice reminds us of the responsibility we share to strengthen our communities, protect the freedoms we hold, and continue working toward a future where every person has the opportunity to live, lead, and contribute fully.

Today, we remember with gratitude, respect, and purpose.

Happy Mother’s Day from BPW/FL!

Today, we honor the mothers across Florida who lead with integrity, vision, resilience, and purpose — in their professions, communities, businesses, public service, and beyond.

To our members, volunteers, and every working woman who is also a mother: your leadership matters. Your voice matters. Your work helps move us closer to BPW/FL’s mission of achieving equity for all working women through advocacy, education, and connections.

We celebrate you today and continue standing with you every day.

Today, we celebrate Cherie DeVaux, the first woman to train a winner of the Kentucky Derby! Her historic win with Golden Tempo is a powerful display of what happens when women have the opportunity, support, and determination to lead in spaces where they have long been underrepresented. It reminds of why BPW/FL’s mission matters: achieving equity for all working women through advocacy, education, and connection.

Congratulations, Cherie DeVaux, on making history and inspiring the next generation of women leaders. Read more about her win:
