Tampa Bay 28 News Tonight | Iranian-American Speaks Out: “We Were Betrayed”
After supporting what he believed was a mission to confront the Iranian regime, Iranian-American and St. Petersburg martial arts coach Amir Ardebily says the new U.S.-Iran agreement feels like a betrayal.
“I supported this because I believed it would help free the Iranian people. Instead, I feel embarrassed, disappointed, and betrayed. The suffering, sacrifices, and hopes of millions of Iranians were ignored.”
Ardebily, who immigrated to the United States from Iran in 1985, says history will ultimately judge this moment. While many Americans may move on with their daily lives, he believes the Iranian people will continue to live with the consequences for years to come.

This is not about hating Iran.
This is about opposing a brutal regime that has murdered its own people, funded terrorism, destroyed families, silenced women, imprisoned protesters, and spread fear across the Middle East for decades.

The Iranian people are NOT the enemy.
The Ayatollahs are.

Social media propaganda is winning because too many people are emotionally reacting without understanding history, geopolitics, or the suffering of ordinary Iranians.

A free Iran would change the world.
The Iranian people deserve freedom, dignity, and a future without fear.

This regime survives on propaganda, fear, and hopelessness.
And that is exactly why people must continue speaking the truth.

This regime must go.
And eventually — it will.
