Cody and Amy just finished their ASA 101-104 course. They aced the written tests with scores in the high 90s. They were total campers when we were caught 1/2 mile from the Marina in a seemingly normal thunderstorm. It kicked our b*tts. Looking forward to seeing them again!

Hi All,
We're updating our FB page to include our classes and events. Stay tuned.
Andrew L. came out for his ASA 101 class. He did great and we had fun including a Dock-n-Dine at the Wharf.

We're good though without electricity at the dock. We're self contained with solar on the sailboats...

How to Thrive in a Relationship While Living on a Boat
You live on a boat surrounded by water. That’s about 350-square feet where you can stand, surrounded by water. You wake up next to your partner. You make coffee together. You read together. You plan your day out together. You share a dinghy, so you dinghy into land together. You do the daily to-do...

Status update...
We made it with minimal damage. A turn to the East at landfall took Irma and her damaging winds away from us... We live to sail another day! Thank you for all the well wishes...

Hi all,
Forecast has been steady predicting a Cat 3 direct hit. Tied up the sailboats a second time as the wind will circle us in the eye instead of a consistent Northerly wind. One great thing is the wind is blowing the water out of the Bay grounding the boats. I think a best case scenario considering. Wish us well...

Back at Sunsail dock and internet. Went ashore at Shell Beach where Julia and Shawn cleared us out of St Barth's. The young Port Captain said €270 with a deadpan face. Had them in a panic for minutes then smiled and said my mistake, it's €27... and laughed. But Julia said she forgives James because he's cute
. Spent the night at Columbier Bay departing for Fourchue in the morning. Anchored and dinghied ashore. Beautiful all around.

In Gustavia. Julia at her favourite bistro... fast Wi-Fi and champagne Mojito Royal...
Anchored out and dinghied over to clear in...

Off to Gustavia early tomorrow. Enjoying Capt Oliver's pool and drinks. Rain and clouds have departed.

Back at Sunsail docks. Some crew taxied to Orient Beach and others to swim here at Capt Oliver's infinity pool. I'm aboard to supervise the repairs. I may have earned the title "bastard" on two Caribbean islands by maintenance managers for wanting boats that work... Oh, well... Make that Captain Bastard!

Awesome breakfast. Leaving Grande-Case to Orient Bay where clothing is not required... Then to dock to get the A/Cs (there are 3) and a slightly leaky head (there are 4) fixed. Pictures of the beach not to be posted... Genset is so quiet you have to look at the status light to know it's on... Having A/C will be a requirement in future Island trips...
