After studying Mary Anning’s remarkable discoveries, our 4th graders became fossil hunters themselves! 🦴🔎 Each student uncovered a “fossil” containing a detail from Mary’s life. Then, they worked together to sort their discoveries, determine which details were most important, and use the evidence to identify the main idea of her story.

Such a fun way to dig deeper into main idea and supporting details....literally!

Five Senses Exploration: PS2 students gathered at the table to learn about their five senses. Each tray contained different items for the children to explore using their sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch. The children had fun observing, feeling, listening to, and talking about the different items.
