Last weekend, Collegiate High School principals Dr. Call, Mr. Halstead, and Brittany Romeo, attended the PCCPTA 2026 Fall Workshop, where school leaders, PTSA representatives, and community partners came together to strengthen family engagement and support student success.

Throughout the workshop, participants took part in district PTSA trainings, exchanged ideas, and collaborated on strategies to build stronger connections between schools, families, and communities.

Our PTSAs play a vital role in supporting students, staff, and school initiatives. Strong PTSA partnerships help create a connected school community and provide meaningful opportunities for families to be actively involved in their children's education.

πŸ’™πŸ’› We encourage all families to join their school PTSA and become active partners in supporting student success.

Student Voices Matter!

Today, I had the opportunity to hear directly from our Collegiate students from the Tarpon Springs Campus about what they love most about their experienceβ€”and their words were powerful!

Evangeline Antaki shared how much she loves the clubs, choosing opportunities that match her interests, and the incredible support from tutors and professors.

Jessie Mahrous spoke about the strength of the student support system, while Maya Atwater highlighted the freedom of creating her own schedule and the opportunity to experience FREE college.

Jessie Niemeyer shared about the amazing opportunities availableβ€”including the 3D printer and creating new projects.

And Taylor Coley summed it up beautifully: β€œI love the family feel.” ❀️

Thank you, Principal- Mr. Halstead and the entire team, for creating an environment where students feel supported, challenged, empowered, and connected.

This is what Collegiate is all about! πŸŽ“πŸ’™

There's something special about watching students evolve over the years. During my visit to St. Petersburg Collegiate STEM High School yesterday, I had the chance to connect with scholars who have been part of the program for three and four years and witness the incredible growth they've achieved.

Seeing their confidence, maturity, and aspirations take shape is a powerful reminder of the impact of a supportive learning community.

A special thank you to Mrs. Brittany Romeo and Mr. Johnson for their commitment to our scholars and for fostering an environment where students are challenged, supported, and empowered to thrive.

One thing I miss most about being a building-level leader is connecting with students.

Yesterday, I stopped by the St. Petersburg Collegiate High School- GIbbs Campus and met Rinor Murati and Ivy Le, who shared that one of the things they enjoy most about CHS is the flexibility to manage their own learning. I also had the pleasure of meeting Mrs. Destinee Cunningham, our new Chemistry teacher and welcoming her to the CHS family.

The positive culture and student-centered environment created by Principal Dr. Call and his dedicated team are evident throughout the campus.

πŸ”¬ Introducing Our Fall 2026 Lab Assistant Team!

These four Collegiate High School North Pinellas students are beginning an exciting semester as lab assistants at SPC's North Pinellas Campus. Through this hands-on experience, they'll develop valuable laboratory preparation and organizational skills while gaining real-world experience in a college laboratory environment.

Pictured from left to right: Bonnie Simmons (Laboratory Specialist), Abigail Long, Anamaria Boles, Angelina Fahim, and Madonna Youssef.

We're grateful for our partnership with SPC and the opportunities it provides our students. We look forward to seeing them learn, grow, and succeed in their new roles throughout the semester.

πŸŽ‰ Show Your Titan Pride for SPC Day 2026! πŸŽ‰

SPC Day is an opportunity for students, families, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends to come together in support of St. Petersburg College and our Collegiate High Schools.

Every gift, no matter the size, helps create transformative opportunities for students by supporting academic resources, student enrichment experiences, technology enhancements, scholarships, and emergency student assistance.

This year, our Collegiate High School campuses are participating in a friendly challenge to see which campus can rally the most support. Whether you're cheering on Gibbs, North Pinellas, or Downtown STEM, your gift helps empower the next generation of leaders, innovators, and changemakers.

πŸ’™πŸ’› Show your Titan Pride and help us build brighter futures, one student at a time!
