Are you an advanced beginner who is looking to take their game up a notch? Then we have a brand new Clinic for you!

Starting in two weeks on September 15, Coach Gene will be running a 90-minute, eight-person clinic every Tuesday night at 6 PM designed for players around the 2.5 level that are looking to develop their game. He will be focusing on how you can improve your consistency, control and court awareness, all while having more fun while playing.

How do you stay cool while playing tennis in Florida in August? First, hydrate! Second, book an odd-numbered court at the Tennis Center in the morning to get the shade on your side of the cabana and an even-numbered court in the afternoon. Third, bring your own portable cooling and misting fan, and you too can stay "as cool as the other side of the pillow"!

Who says it's too hot to play tennis play tennis in Florida in the summer? Not the 29 NEW MEMBERS who joined the STPC in May, June and July!!

Some of them were long-time Daily Players converting to members, some were former members coming back, and some found us online and signed themselves up via the CourtReserve app.

Regardless of how you joined, we are VERY happy to have y'all as part of our Tennis Community. The SPTC is a non-profit, public facility, and it is just this sort of support that makes a world of difference with our mission of bringing "the world's healthiest sport" to players young and old and in-between.

And just like that, Kid's Sumer Camp 2026 is over. Big thanks to to killer coaching team of Erica, Soleia, James and Lucas for braving the heat and rain and dodging the occasional errant groundstoke!

And speaking with James, it is his last weekend on the Front Desk before he heads off to college, so if you're coming in this weekend for play make sure you get a chance to wish him good luck…although we are hopeful he will be back in from time to time to cover a shift or two for us. Go get 'em James!
