Today, TweetyB’s was included among several local businesses impacted by a reported false bomb threat in the St. Petersburg area. We want to reassure our families and community that this was the result of a series of prank phone calls, and at no time was the safety of our children, staff, or center compromised.

The safety and well-being of our children, families, staff, and community is always our highest priority. Law enforcement responded quickly and professionally, and we are extremely grateful for their swift action in thoroughly assessing the situation and providing an official all-clear.

Throughout the day, our team remained calm, attentive, and focused on maintaining a safe and supportive environment for the children in our care. We followed all appropriate safety protocols and remained in communication as needed.

We understand that situations like this can feel unsettling. Please know that we will always take every precaution necessary to protect our TweetyB’s family and the community we are proud to serve here in St. Petersburg.

🎉🎂 HAPPY 5TH BIRTHDAY, TWEETYB’S! 🎂🎉

On June 22, 2020, in the middle of a global pandemic, I walked into an office and signed a lease for a commercial building with a vision and a whole lot of faith. The goal was to open a childcare center that specialized in care — real care — during one of the most uncertain times in history.

What should have been a 3-month build-out turned into nine long months filled with licensing visits, inspections, fire and safety approvals, and every hurdle that comes with opening a childcare center from the ground up.

And then… February 5,2021 — TweetyB’s was officially licensed as a childcare center with Pinellas County, St. Petersburg, Florida. 🎉

Today, we celebrate FIVE YEARS OPEN.
Five years of serving families.
Five years of loving children.
Five years of perseverance, growth, community, and purpose.

What started in the middle of COVID has become a place where families find care they can trust and children are nurtured, protected, and celebrated every single day.

Happy Birthday to TweetyB’s — and thank you to every family, staff member, supporter, and child who has been part of this journey. We’re just getting started 💜

I asked AI to create a caricature of me and my work… and the result actually stopped me in my tracks. 🥹

What came back wasn’t just a cartoon. It was a reflection.

Front and center — calm, smiling — while everything is moving around me: kids laughing, messages popping, papers flying, a whole learning center in motion. And honestly… that’s real life. Being the steady one in the middle of organized chaos.

The glasses? Apparently they became my “power symbol” — vision, clarity, seeing what others might miss. The big “Grants Approved” paper? That one hit deep, because behind the scenes that’s so much of my fight… advocating, writing, pushing, praying for resources and opportunities for our children and families.

What I loved most is that the kids weren’t in the background — they were close, happy, leaning in. Not a boss energy… but a protector, builder of joy, and community-first leader.

And the purple? Leadership, purpose, calling. Not just a job… a mission.

This caricature reminded me that even when it feels overwhelming, I’m doing exactly what I was built to do:
hold the vision, the people, and the paperwork together — with grace.

Founder. Director. Advocate.
But most importantly… someone who believes in kids, community, and possibility. 💜
