Life never really slows down much here at PCCA, but especially not in the first two weeks of school. New knowledge has been gained, new friendships forged, new art created.
Our art department is already off and running in their 2D, 3D, and digital art classes familiarizing themself with form, tools, and techniques. AP Art students are beginning to assemble the portfolio they will work on all year for submission.
In our music department, our vocal, band, and orchestra ensembles are building a cohesive sound and planning for their fall concert season. AP Music Theory students have begun their studies into the foundations of music, the first music recital of the year was held, and private voice and instrumental lessons have already begun with our adjunct faculty and experts in field.
In our theatre department, auditions have come and gone for our fall musical and our first table read and music rehearsals are progressing daily. Musical theatre, acting, dance, and tech classes build new skills each day between our acting studios, tech workshops, dance studios, and private voice and acting lessons with our adjunct faculty and experts in field.
In our dance department, daily classes in movement, form, and kinesiology are building physical discipline and the foundations of their movement study. Adjunct dance faculty are already in studio starting to choreograph routines for their fall shows.
No, we certainly do not slow down, but these students, this faculty, and this program wouldn't have it any other way. Are you ready to go?
