The Mount Zion Christian Academy opened its doors to serve children in grades K through 5 under the leadership of Mt. Zion Progressive Missionary Baptist Church in August 2012. Prior to its opening as the church’s School, it was the Yvonne C. Reed Christian Academy Inc. under the ownership and direction of Mrs. Yvonne Clayton Reed for 14 years. When Mrs. Reed decided to retire, she entrusted the s

chool to the Church. The school is now in its third year of existence under the new leadership of Principal Franca Sheehy, an accomplished educator.
