Beauty Isn’t always perfect. I actually bought a big cute sticker with this written and fixed it to my mirror as a reminder. I need this reminder often.

What does beauty mean to you?

Life isn’t always the way we see it, or even sometimes as we portray it on social media. And that’s OK! The journey is meant to be hard. You are meant to struggle. It’s how we grow and blossom. It’s not always pretty, trust me. I’ve ugly-cried way to many times. The kind where mascara has run down past my cheeks to my chest and I look like something out of a zombie horror film all while (very audibly) praying God give me mercy, wisdom and the next best thing to do. I can’t tell you all of that without saying it happened and this being vulnerable thing is..hard. It’s NOT EASY. But the point is we grow, we get stronger, we learn better, we do the next best thing and we elevate. Remember that old butterfly in a cocoon analogy? Well it still applies here. Your beautiful soul, your will power is that butterfly. Except that it doesn’t stop there! I’ve never seen butterflies hug and kiss or even fight or argue. We are on a journey that’s much more complex then that cute butterfly...ours exists within communities(Online also communities count!). We are never meant to do this alone.

This journey isn’t meant to be easy, it’s meant to be shared.

That’s been my reflection this past month. But also, how do I share and welcome others in my journey? How do I include others in my journey? How do I accept or reject other people’s invitations to journey with them? It takes some vulnerability, it takes thought, and it takes started exactly where you right now. This adventure that you’re on is uniquely yours. It’s beautiful. Even the “ugly-cries”. Let’s share our stories and let’s continue to thrive and grow together.

This journey is meant to be shared. 💕✌🏻

Girls Night with was a success! Here’s a little sneak peek of what you missed! We made homemade face masks... the kind we used to talk about💁🏻‍♀️

Since it really was amazing, here is the recipe we used:

1 Tbsp Ground Coffee ☕️
1 Tbsp honey 🍯
1 Tbsp Olive Oil
1/4 avocado 🥑
2 strawberries

Add a little milk if it’s too thick for a blender.
Add it all to a blender and let it purée.

Then...
*on a cleansed face*

Smother this mixture all over your face, neck, and hands. Leave it there for like 10-20 mins. And rinse!
