*Swipe to the end for a surprise!*
It’s back-to-school time! Which means it’s time to start making decisions on how you will educate your students this year. While we believe that parents can provide the best environment for learning in their own homes, we also appreciate the benefits of homeschool co-ops!
BENEFITS OF CHOOSING A CO-OP:
🍎 COLLABORATION: In a homeschool co-op, everyone has similar interests and goals - the education and wellbeing of the students! Parents and teachers work together on choosing curriculum, planning extracurricular activities, and providing children with the environment they need to learn. Homeschool co-ops also allow parents to collaborate by splitting the costs of curriculum, activities, and even meals!
🍎 ACCOUNTABILITY: Sometimes, you need someone to hold your hand. And that’s okay! Homeschool co-ops provide accountability for both parents and children by making sure that everyone stays on-task and on-track. Once specific goals are communicated, everyone steps in to make sure that both individual and group goals are achieved.
🍎 SOCIALIZATION: “Homeschooled kids don’t have social lives” We’ve all heard it. But this doesn’t have to be true for your students! Homeschool co-ops provide opportunities for students to socialize with students from different backgrounds and apply the skills they have been taught in the home.
🍎 YOU GET A BREAK: Sometimes, parents need a break. This is nothing to feel guilty about! Because homeschooling is a full-time responsibility for a lot of parents. Homeschool co-ops allow you to send your students to a safe learning environment, while you get time to focus on yourself and other responsibilities. Now that’s something to be excited about!
