Vision St. Charles County Leadership Charles County. Welcome to the Vision St. Charles County Leadership Program! Since 1998, Vision Leadership has been a staple of the business community in St.

Our Mission: To educate community and business leaders by providing experiences that will increase awareness, develop leadership skills and motivate participants to be actively engaged in St. Our mission is to provide professionals with educational leadership experiences and promote community engagement. We do this by giving class participants exclusive insight to the county’s inner workings and access to influential public figures who are helping shape our future. Vision Leadership is a rewarding personal experience that fosters lifelong relationships. We have a thriving alumni group consisting of more than 500 distinguished individuals. We encourage each of them to keep in touch or reconnect with us at an upcoming activity day or special event.

Sports, parks, and the power of bringing people together ⚽⚾

What role do sports and recreation play in tourism? That question took center stage during Vision’s Tourism Day stop at St. Charles County Kinetic Park.

Our sports tourism panel brought together representatives from the O'Fallon Hoots, St. Louis Ambush, and Saint Charles County Parks Department to share their perspectives on this part of our region’s tourism landscape.

Sports and recreation give people reasons to gather, from attending a game to exploring a park. For community leaders, they also offer a way to think about how visitor experiences and residents’ quality of life connect.

The afternoon included time for lunch, conversation, and a leadership module, tying our exploration of tourism back to Vision’s mission of developing engaged community leaders.

The Vision Class of 2027 is excited to partner with Ripple Affect.

Ripple Affect is a faith-based nonprofit serving women throughout St. Charles and St. Louis. It creates welcoming spaces where women experiencing transitions, uncertainty, or personal challenges can find connection, encouragement, mentorship, and growth.

The organization is developing a new program in response to challenges facing young adult women, including:

- Rising anxiety, loneliness, and isolation
- Difficulty finding authentic community after high school
- A need for mentorship during the transition to adulthood
- A desire for a welcoming faith community that meets women wherever they are in their spiritual journeys

The Vision project team will work alongside Ripple Affect as it develops this new opportunity for connection and support. Through collaboration and creative problem-solving, the team will help the organization consider how to build a program where young women feel valued, accepted, and empowered to grow.

That is how a single connection can create a ripple of hope across families, workplaces, and communities.

Meet Vision Ambassador Kristin Chesnut!

“Vision is a must because it will help you realize all you’re capable of accomplishing.”

For Kristin, a standout Vision experience was the hospital leadership panel during Health and Human Services Day. She filled her notes with insights and left struck by how much people have in common, even when they work in different industries.

After sharing enthusiastic recaps throughout her Vision year, becoming an Ambassador felt like a natural next step: staying connected and helping shape the experiences of future classes.

A step into another world at the Renaissance Festival
Vision’s Tourism Day continued with a visit to the St. Louis Renaissance Festival at Rotary Park in Wentzville!

The tour brought another dimension of local tourism into focus: experiences that turn a place into a destination. Festivals give people a reason to plan a trip, gather with friends and family, and discover the surrounding community.

For our Vision participants, this stop connected with one of the day’s central goals, gaining exposure to places and tourism opportunities across our region.

The Vision Class of 2027 is partnering with FACT - Family Advocacy and Community Training to help families make their voices heard.

F.A.C.T. supports individuals with developmental disabilities and their families while helping them navigate complex systems and connect with vital resources. Its proposed Community Awareness and Family Voices Campaign will increase understanding of developmental disabilities, share families’ experiences, and strengthen community support.

The Vision project team will help F.A.C.T. develop practical awareness and advocacy resources, which may include:

- Family stories and testimonials
- Presentations and community messaging
- Social media and awareness materials
- A family advocacy toolkit
- A framework for future action alerts

Together, the team and F.A.C.T. will work to ensure that community members, civic leaders, and policymakers better understand the value of family-support services, and the people whose lives are affected by decisions about them.

A special shoutout to Vision alum and ambassador Roni Jackson Class of 2026 for continuing to serve our community through her work with F.A.C.T. We love seeing Vision alumni making a lasting impact!

Vision wasn't the end of the story. It helped shape what came next.
