I'm so excited to share this endorsement. Thank you to IUOE 513, for supporting my campaign.

The St. Charles County Democratic Central Committee met this past Thursday and voted to discuss and share our positions on the upcoming amendments voters will see in August and November of 2026.

Below are the committee’s current stances.

One note on Amendment 2: the committee decided to hold off on taking a final position for now. We want to do a little more research and reach out to other Democratic committees and nonpartisan groups in the Kansas City area. They have dealt with a similar issue, and we think it’s important to hear from the people who have already been through that conversation before we make a final call.

These positions represent the collective discussion and vote of the Central Committee, but as always, please do your own research, read the amendments, and make your own judgment.

An informed and educated public has always been the thing the powerful fear most.

𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞: The internet is a powerful tool, but talking to our neighbors gives people a chance to truly connect and voice our concerns. Face-to-face conversations leave a lasting impression and are one of the most effective ways to improve voter turnout.

𝐀 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐝: Many of us are eager to do something and engage in ways to help enact real change. Canvassing is one of the absolute best ways you can help a candidate in your area.

𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐚 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞: Campaign doners pay attention to canvassing activity. It helps get dollars and support.

𝐀𝐧 𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧: Not only do you get to know more about your community, you connect with other candidates, staff, and volunteers who have so much valuable knowledge to share.

𝐍𝐨 𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐝: A common misconception about canvassing is that you have to have all of the answers to every question, or that you have to argue a point of view. Canvassing isn’t about arguing, it is about listening.
