Here's my next PUBLIC EVENT!

It means you can come see me for FREE, learn all about butterflies, interact with all the stages of their life cycle, and enjoy my WALK-IN AVIARY!

🦋BUTTERFLY RELEASE🦋
Several weeks ago, I found a Zebra Swallowtail egg on a Pawpaw Tree leaf. I carefully removed it, brought it home, & successfully raised it. This morning, it made its debut, eclosing from its chrysalis! It's absolutely beautiful! This is my first egg-to-release with this species!

Guys! I'm so so bummed! I just received word that the Kinetic Park Grand Opening is canceled for this weekend & rescheduled for June 13th. I'm scheduled elsewhere that day, so I won't be at the Grand Opening after all. Please still go and enjoy the vendors, live music, food trucks, & everything else anyway.

At an event I ran yesterday, I let all the attendees gently touch this LIVE CHRYSALIS to feel it wiggle in their fingers. LOTS of surprised reactions when they felt the only defense mechanism these little guys have: rapid jerking & swaying!
Today, it came out!
Vocab alert! ECLOSING is when an adult species emerges from its pupa. Most people mistakenly call it "hatching," but hatching is what a **baby** does from its **egg**! Adults ECLOSE!

I had a really great time with Mosaic Homeschool Cooperative yesterday, bringing the BIG world of LITTLE butterflies to life for them! They were a delightful, engaging group! And, once again, I'm super grateful to have permission to share photos others have taken. Thank you SarahAnn Bibb! ^_^

I'll be here with my WALK-IN AVIARY **this** Saturday from 10am-6pm with a butterfly release at 5:55pm. Bring your kids! There's so much to do at Kinetic Park.
PLUS! As requested, I'll have - for the first time ever - souvenirs for purchase!!
So! Come enjoy the park, play with the butterflies, snack at the food trucks, jam to live music, & treat yo'self to some butterfly swag!

This was event #2 yesterday, with Choices Day Program. It's always a great time teaching them all about the big world of little butterflies! They're a joy to entertain & educate!

This was a fun trend! I might make another, starting from scratch. ChatGPT did a pretty great caricature of me "at work," and Facebook's 3D effect made it pop! Very fun!
Now WHO NEEDS A FLUTTERBY EVENT? I'm booking for the 2026 Butterfly Season!
