Global icon and humanitarian, Dolly Parton, known to the world as a beloved singer, songwriter, philanthropist, actress, playwright, and author died peacefully today in Nashville, Tennessee. She was 80 years old.

Dolly is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years Carl Thomas Dean (1942 – 2025), her mother Avie Lee Caroline Owens (1923 – 2003), and father, Robert Lee Parton, Sr. (1921 – 2000).

A rhinestone life that shone bright enough for the world to see, Dolly will forever stand as an inspiration not only through her timeless music and prolific songwriting, but also her wit, warmth, and kindness that made us all feel like family. Dolly Parton’s legacy is one of love, compassion, and resilience. With a seven-decade career, she inspired multiple generations of artists and fans with her music and an unwavering commitment to making the world a better place. Her songs will continue to resonate with people of all ages, and her philanthropic work will have a lasting impact.

At Dolly’s request, a small, private service will be held for immediate family. Dolly’s fans and friends from around the world are encouraged to pay tribute to Dolly on social media by tagging or by leaving a message at www.dollyparton.com

✨ SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: ELLIE ✨

Today we’re celebrating our sweet Ellie, and honestly, we couldn’t be more proud of the person and performer she has become.

Ellie has brought so much life to the stage over the years, taking on roles including Martha in White Christmas, Gingy in Shrek, and the Grand Duchess in Anastasia, along with countless other productions including Matilda, Seussical, and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. She was also honored with the Award for Best Supporting Actress, a recognition so incredibly well deserved.

…but as wonderful as Ellie is onstage, what we’ll miss most is the person she is offstage. She has one of the sweetest voices we’ve had the privilege of teaching, but an even sweeter heart. Ellie is the kind of person others naturally look up to; kind, encouraging, genuine, and always willing to cheer someone else on. To know her is to instantly love her!

Watching her grow as an artist has been such a joy, but having her light in the studio each week and watching her grow into the person she is today has been the real gift. 🤍

Ellie, you will be so deeply missed around the studio. We are endlessly proud of you and so excited to watch you step into this next chapter as you head off to college. We know you’re going to bring your talent, kindness, and beautiful heart wherever you go.

Go make your mark, Ellie. We’ll be cheering you on! 🤍✨

We spent the evening seeing Meet Me in St. Louis, getting a behind-the-scenes backstage tour, braving the August heat 🥵☀️, and making some really sweet memories together.

So grateful for nights like these; good music, good company, and a whole lot of fun. Another wonderful night at The Muny!

A little piece of my heart is in this article. 🤍

When I started teaching voice lessons over 12 years ago, I never could have imagined what Gabrielle Studio of Music would become. What began as a passion for helping people find confidence in their voices has grown into a community that means more to me than I could have ever planned.

The journey hasn’t always been easy; there have been seasons of doubt, incredibly long days, and countless lessons learned along the way. Yet every challenge has shaped me into a better teacher, leader, and advocate for my students.

👉🏼 At the heart of it all, this studio has never just been about singing. It’s about helping people feel seen, supported, and empowered to discover what they’re capable of.
