I'm taking 24 hours off on Wednesday.

Ironic, because Tuesday, I shared a post by Alex Hormozi, telling us that not working weekends means working backwards 104 days per year. I have a long list of his egregiousness, and after my rant as to why that's the worstest of worst ever.
My body demanded a day off.

I am not burnt out. But I'm taking a 24hr sabbatical so I don't.

True burnout shuts you down...for months.

Besides the fact Dude Bros and Boss Babes who promote Work Hard Play Hard are scientifically on the wrong side of history.
They're inviting you to Burn Out.

You're a human being, designed for a full live of productivity & play & rest & s*x & intimacy & exploring & creating.

And not to feed the machine of Productivity.
Your worth is not measured in hours working.

"If I play first, I won't work" is a lie.
Play fuels you, sparks your creativity, literally strengthens your pre-frontal cortex so you become a better problem solver and GET SMARTER.

I am RABID on this topic.
Play isn't just necessary.
It's essential to your LIFE.

I know it means rewiring almost all of your socialization of "good work ethic" and pull up your boot straps and fear of being a freeloader and not contributing.
Except all that is made up to keep you working.

You DO have to WORK to create something new, launch an idea into the public lexicon.
I'm cool to work a weekend when the flow there, or a deadline is imminent. (ADHD loves a deadline!)

But there's huge space between just buying into it all, measuring your value against productivity and money in the bank. And denying yourself rest and play so you can keep upping your "value."

Or going all flow & vibe & ease & manifesty from your ethereal essentially oiled up yurt in the woods. (not gonna lie. I like visiting there.)

Or the only other option people seem to think there is - calling for anarchy and burning it all to the ground.

There are SO MANY possibilities in the in-between, and your sweet spot is in there.
Those are the conversations I have in the rooms I run and spaces I occupy.
