So grateful for engaged students and powerful writings by women of color writers, about travel, encounters, border crossings of many kinds. The class is Women's Issues, Global Perspectives.

From Hui Wilcox: I interacted with 70 students in 2 SOCI1000 classes on first day of class. Both classes went well. Through the screen, I could still feel the excitement and anticipation on the first day of school (for many the first day of college). We'll see how it goes from this point on. We will talk about race and ethnicity right away. Buckle up!
What do you think of the choice to teach about race and ethnicity the first thing in the semester for SOCI1000?
