Yesterday was the first day of Burma Youth Spirit Camp!
Here’s how it went:
We started off doing a team activity—Pictionary, to get the kids involved.
Then we went straight into learning the Burmese alphabet and then they had a break! The kids enjoyed it a lot.

Hello everyone!

We have only 5 days left until we start this Monday, but we still have many spots to fill! We encourage parents interested and following us to sign their kids up.

If there are any inquiries about kids that are out of the age range or anything else please contact us and we will see if we can make any accommodations!

We do plan on continuing this camp in future summers if there are any worries about kids forgetting what they’ve learnt in the future.

This camp is a great way to get your kids out of the house and to build more social skills during the summer, alongside all of the cultural education they’ll learn. Kids learning about our culture helps them connect more to you as their parent and our community!

ဒီ Camp လေးကို နောက်နှစ်ကျောင်းပိတ်ချိန် နွေရာသီတိုင်းကို ဆက်လက်ဖွင့်သွားမှာမို့ တစ်နှစ်ပဲသင်ပြီး မေ့သွားမှာတို့ အချိန်ကုန်သွားမှာတို့ကို စိတ်မပူပါနဲ့ ကလေးတွေဆက်လက်သိကျွမိးအောင်သွား​အောင် နှစ်စဉ်လုပ်ဆောင်ပေးသွားမှာပါ

ဒီcamp လေးကနေ မိတ်ဆွေတို့ရဲ့ကလေးတွေဟာ အိမ်ပြင်ထွက်ရရုံမက ကလေးချင်းတွေ အသက်ရွယ်မတူတဲ့ လူမျိုးဘာသာစကားမတူတဲ့ ကလေးတွေနဲ့ပါ ပူပေါင်းသင်ကြားရတာကြောင့် လူမှု့ရေးနဲ့ ပေါင်းသင်းမှု့ရေးပါ တစ်ခါထဲနားလည်သင်ကြားသွားရမှာပါ

Get to know the Burma Youth Spirit Camp leaders!

Team leaders will look after their assigned group of kids, but we will all work together during activities and lessons. Volunteers aren’t available to come all days, but will come most days to help out the team leaders with daily activities.

Now that you know the leaders, we encourage everyone to sign up their kids for this educational and fun summer camp!

Golden Palace - Asian Market and Deli

This Burmese and Karen cultural summer camp is available to youth in the Saint Paul, MN area! 🇲🇲

Some key information:
- No transportation provided.
- "First come, first served": after contacting us, there is an official sign up form and we will only accept the first 25 kids signed up!
- Only kids aged 5-10 years old accepted.
- The camp will take places July 7th-18th, only on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays (No weekends or Wednesdays)
at 3-6 PM.
- We will update on our daily activities on our social media pages once the camp begins (here and Instagram).
- This camp will not only be educational but fun and a great way to spend the summer!
